Obituary of Janice M. Atkinson

Janice Mary Atkinson, 50 Janice M. Atkinson, 50 of Southampton, Pa passed away suddenly on November 26th, 2016. Born June 21, 1966 in Philadelphia, Pa, pre-deceased by her parents, Earl T. and Dolores M. (Quinn) Atkinson and the father of her two children, Alex D. Faris. She is survived by her daughter Aubrey Ann Atkinson, son PV2 Shane M. Atkinson, sisters Denise Atkinson-Hall (Mark), Marietta Atkinson (Noelle) and Adrienne Sharp (Faris); brothers Gerald (Amanda), Andrew (Kim) and Peter (Sherri) as well as many nieces and nephews. Janice was a graduate of Archbishop Wood High School and followed her education to Bloomsburg University and Temple University. She dedicated her life to education, working with special needs children throughout Bucks County and Bertucci’s for more than 20 years. She enjoyed the sun, the sand on her toes and listening to the crashing waves. She had a contagious laugh and a smile that could brighten anyone’s day. Janice was a devoted mother, sister and friend, always putting others before herself. She was so proud of her children following their dreams in music education and serving in the US Army as a combat medic and paratrooper. Viewing will be held Friday December 2nd, 2016 from 6 to 8pm at Louis Swift Plunkett Funeral Home 529 N. York Rd Hatboro. Ritual of Catholic burial will be held Saturday December 3rd, 2016 at 10am at Saint John Bosco Church 235 E. Countyline Rd. Hatboro followed by internment at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.
