Thinking about Erik today as I watch the terrible destruction of his Hawaiian home. We were lucky to have him play & sing at our home. We miss him everyday & the burning of Lahaina has added to our sadness. Love, Marianne and Al Straaik

I only met Eric once when I was in Lahaina and he was playing at a bar. I was a big parrot head and immediately took to Eric's music. He made such an impression on me I immediately bought his first album and later his second. He's always been on my favorites list and has been part of the soundtrack of my life for the last 20 years. I was just listening to his music yesterday when I thought to myself I wonder if he's still making music... that's when I read of this tragic loss. Now listening to his songs takes on a whole new meaning but he will live on forever through the wonderful music he left behind for all of us. I was truly blessed to have got to meet him in person and will go on playing his music in his honor. My condolences to all those he left behind. Blessed be.

I Celebrate the Life of Erik Pietsch. A handsome young man with a "LOVE" for the SEA. He loved Sailing & Entertaining in his "Special Place". May he now find the PEACE he has been searching for. He loved his family & was loved greatly-in return. Thank you for being the man you were--spreading happiness to many. I'll remember the SUNSHINE of your SMILE & be happy to have known you.
