Phyllis was a good friend of my father, Mel Geary. When he was diagnosed with cancer in 2007, Phyllis really helped my sister and me. I mean she was THERE. When they took my dad to hospice in an ambulance, I cried in her arms. In the months and years after his death, she endeavored to help my sister in countless ways. She would call me every so often and share healing knowledge, wisdom, spirituality and joy of life. I can only imagine the countless people she has touched in a positive way over the years through her work, as a family member, as a community member and as a friend. I know she loved us, prayed for us and sent us healing energy and for that, I will always be grateful to her spirit and I will always love her back.
