Obituary of Gladys C. Dougherty

Gladys Constance (Mahon) Dougherty, age 96, formerly of Hatboro, Pa. passed away on September 5, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of 68 years to the late John Joseph Dougherty Sr. Gladys, born in Philadelphia, was the daughter of the late Elmer and Alice Mahon. She is survived by her two sons, John J. Dougherty Jr. (Marsha) and Dennis W. Dougherty (Teresa). She is the grandmother of David, Michelle, Dennis Jr., Shannon and great grandmother of Ethan, Emma, Ean, Cora, and Lennon. Gladys is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Gladys worked at Richardson-Vicks for a number of years before retiring in 1984. She a was a longtime member of St. John Bosco Parish and was an active member of the church choir. Gladys and John spent many happy times with family and friends hosting holiday parties and family celebrations. She will be cherished for her kindness and the love and affection she showed family and friends. Relatives and friends may call Friday September 10th, 9 :30 A.M. at St. John Bosco Church 235 E. Countyline Rd., Hatboro. Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
