Obituary of Joseph A. Cost III
Joseph A. Cost III, of Richboro PA, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at age 65. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carole A Cost; their daughters Patricia Cost, Stephanie Spyrounis, and Christine Cost; his son-in-laws, Peter Spyrounis and Jim Borie who he loved as his own; and his sisters, Cindy Lynd and Sharon Martin.
Despite the nickname of “mean Joe” at work, Dad was a loving, big-hearted man who would do anything for his family. His warmth, sense of humor and abundance of love for his family showed in his bear hugs, playful sayings and hearty laughter. He spent his retirement adoring (babysitting) his grandkids, Joseph (Jojo) and Addie Spyrounis. Outside adventures with his grandson was one of his favorite activities. He loved big family dinners surrounded by everyone he loved. On Christmas, he would always watch everyone open their presents and forget to open his own because he took such joy out of seeing his family happy. He loved animals, hunting and fishing. He was most at peace in the woods, especially in Cedar Run, PA where his father built a family home.
Joseph was born on Mischief night in 1957 to Joseph A. Cost II and Shirley Summers (Cost, Wilks). He attended William Tennent High School and became an electrician. Even after retirement, he would fondly remember all those he worked with and the projects they did together. He took great pride in his work, both on the jobsite and in the renovations he did at home and at his daughter's house. His creativity had no limits and a special and clever "Joe Cost" touch was found in every project he planned.
Services for Joe’s passing will be private.
