Obituary of Hugh F. Lynagh

Hugh F. Lynagh, age 87, of Horsham PA. passed away on April 2, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Lynagh. Born June 22, 1936. Hugh was the son of the late Hugh and Beatrice (Herron) Lynagh. He is survived by his children, Jennifer McAllister (Joe), Katy Boggs (Jerry) Amy Smith (Dan), Brian Lynagh. His twelve grandchildren, Kerri McAfee (Jarred), MaryKate Dunn (Brice), Molly McAllister, Megan Boggs (Michael), Matthew Boggs, Grace McAllister, James Boggs, John Boggs, Joseph McAllister, Sam Smith, Maggie Smith, and Ryan Smith. His great grandchildren, Charlotte McAfee, Macie McAfee and Oliver McAfee. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Lynagh and his brother James Lynagh. Hugh was a proud graduate of North Catholic High School. He grew up in Mt. Airy on his beloved Sydney Street. Hugh was in the banking business for over thirty years until his retirement when he found his dream job at Fairways Golf Course where he worked until he was 85. Fairways was family to Hugh. Hugh served in the Army. He loved his Phillies and Eagles. Watching them was a favorite pastime of his. Hugh loved spending time with his family in Sea Isle NJ, or The Outer Banks NC or his kitchen table. He was simply the BEST!

Family and friends are invited to his viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday April 13, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Church, 1795 Columbia Ave. Warrington, PA 18976. Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Internment will be held privately at a later date.
