Obituary of Nicholas Carl Kihm
Nicholas Carl (Nick) Kihm, devoted husband to Mary Ann (nee Monaghan), passed away on Monday, August 26 at the age of 88. He is predeceased by his parents, Nikalaus and Eva Kihm and his sister Carol Walter, and is survived by his sister Catherine Schempp. He was a beloved father to his seven children: Kathleen Weiss (nee Kihm) (Vincent), Joseph Kihm (Lori Jo), Anne Kelly (nee Kihm) (Mike), Theresa Esterly (nee Kihm) (Scott), Jacquelyn Dragovich (nee Kihm), Michael Kihm, and Nicole Bonderchuk (nee Kihm). He will be deeply missed by his15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Patrick, Brendan, William, and Waverly Weiss; Sara Kihm LeonGuerrero; Daniel, Timothy, Grace, Nicholas, and Mickey Kelly; Andrew, Nicholas, and Ryan Esterly; Sandra and Jessica Dragovich; James and Olivia Bonderchuk.
Nick cherished his life-long friendships with his kindergarten friends, the “38 Club”, from St. Henry’s School, Philadelphia PA. Nick graduated from North Catholic High School, LaSalle University, and Villanova University School of Law. Nick enjoyed the fellowship of his law school friends for the rest of his life, including Thomas Stevens, Jr., Esq. with whom he partnered and entered practice as a Tax Attorney. Nick later became an Attorney for Spring House Publishing and established the Nurses Services Organization (NSO), one of the nation’s largest affinity insurance programs, which was acquired by Aon Corporation. Nick was proud of his work and the great team he led at NSO. He enjoyed a distinguished career at Aon for 20 plus years.
Nick was a long-time resident of Warrington, PA and enjoyed his retirement, spending summers in Ocean City, NJ and winters in Venice, FL. He loved playing golf and spending time with his family and friends.
Nick’s well-earned nickname was “Gentle Giant” - as he was a truly honorable man. Although he may be considered a man of few words by some, his kind, loving soul and generous acts will be remembered by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 9:30 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM at Saint Robert’s Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave, Warrington, PA 18976.
