Obituary of Michael Christopher Wile II
Michael Christopher (Ozzy) Wile II, beloved son, brother, father and friend said goodbye to this mortal coil on Monday. August 26 just short of his 56th birthday.
Mike was born in Inglewood, CA on October 7, 1968. He was a little monkey of kid who fell in love with the rock band KISS and going “movie hopping” with his little brother as children growing up a few steps away from Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. He loved returning to Disneyland with his daughter as an adult.
One of his most cherished memories was spending time with his cousins in England during the summer of 1981. In the following year, the family moved to Upper Dublin, PA. His love for Ozzy Osbourne led to him getting the nickname Ozzy. As a teen, Mike became the consummate Renaissance man with a love for drawing & painting (which led to him becoming a tattoo artist), playing guitar and tinkering. He became a machinist who made replica Star Wars lightsabers with an avid customer base on eBay. He would often customize toys to look like friends and family. He was a prolific builder of Legos. There wasn’t anything that Mike couldn’t build.
A voracious collector of memorabilia, Mike’s most cherished possessions were friends. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his friends and was called Uncle Mike by many a friend’s child.
Mike lived in North Hills, Ambler, the Cigar Factory, Trooper and recently West Chester in his time in PA.
Mike is survived by his parents Evelyn and Joseph Wanner, his brothers Eddy Sato, Tim and Brian Wile, his daughter Damiana Giannetti and daughter at heart Marlee Riebenfeld. He is preceded in death by his father Michael Wile Sr.
Family and friends are invited to greet the family Saturday October 5th from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. at Louis Swift Plunkett Funeral Home 529 N. York Rd., Hatboro. Services and interment are private.
