Obituary of Robert J. Houk Sr.

Robert J. Houk Sr. Robert J. Houk Sr. of New Hope passed away Monday, May 2, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, Robert was the son of the late Harold and Florence (Jones) Houk. He was a graduate of St. Joseph's Prep. Mr. Houk was the founder and owner of H&R Radio since 1963. He loved the Philadelphia sports teams, traveling, Cape May N.J., Aruba, and spending time with his family. Robert was the husband of the late Mary E. (Gibbons); father of Robert J. Jr. (Winifred), Mary Beth Wikoff (John), Joseph (Valerie), Stephen (Christine), Christine Hammond (Paul), and Alyson Lawfer; grandfather of 21; and great grandfather of four. Relatives and friends may call from 9 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 11 a.m., Friday, at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Road, Jamison. Interment will be held in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. In lieu of flowers, donations to Doylestown Hospital Hospice, 87S N. Easton Rd., Doylestown Pa. 18902, would be appreciated.
